- Do you have Works installed on the new PC? If not, do you have Word installed on the new PC?
WPS indicates a Works word processor format.
If you have Office suite installed on the computer, you may open Word and try to access it within the Word application.
- Open Word, then File - Open and browse to the .wps file.

I need to open a WPS document and when I go to Office Word 2013 it won't open. I tried to update but says I need an update to Microsoft converter and when I update it says page no longer available. How do I open these type of documents with Windows 10?

Microsoft has fixed the link and provided software to view Works 6-9 files in Word 2016. See http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/confirmation.aspx?FamilyID=bf41401e-70fa-465d-ae2e-cf44dbf05297. Once you download and install that, you can open the files with Word 2016.

Downloaded and tried it with Microsoft Office Home and Student 2016. No luck. Any other possible fixes, other than moving to Mac?
